Congratulations to the U18 Arsenal team that beat Utah FC in the championship game 5-1 to win the Adidas Strikerfest. This Arsenal team, including several guest players, represents probably 9 of the 11 Lehi High School starters for next year.

Report from Vaughan Mordecai about 2009 State Cup including U1

We've had a good run in the boys Utah State Cup tournament this year. Four of our teams made it to the Quarter Finals (U18 JP, U15 DW, U13 VM, U11 RL), two of the teams made it to the semi-finals (U18 JP & U11 RL), and one of our very own U11 Boys teams (RL) made it to the State Cup Finals this year.

The following players were recognized for their outstanding play in 2009 and have been named to the all county team.

Keeper of the Year: Riley Anderson, GK, Lehi
Finished the year with six shutouts, organized the Pioneers from the back and displayed his power with his tremendous kicking ability.

Used his ball control to set the tone for his team and attack opposing defenses; also scored 10 goals himself.

2009 All-Valley Boys Soccer Team
• Utah Valley Player of the Year: Jake Parkinson, F, Mountain View

• Offensive MVP: Santiago Castano, MF, Provo

Scored 18 goals for the year -- the most in Class 4A -- with his quickness, his power and his accuracy while also creating for teammates.

• Defensive MVP: Parker Brown, D, Timpanogos

His strength and power frequently helped the Timberwolves get out of trouble on the back line and set up set pieces, while he also scored two goals of his own.

The 2009 Lehi boys soccer team is going where no previous Pioneer team has gone before.

In the first half of the Region 4 soccer contest featuring Lehi hosting Lone Peak on Wednesday afternoon, the Pioneers simply couldn't find a way to get the ball in the net.

One Lehi breakaway turned into the ball sliding just to the right, another just to the left. A good cross into the middle forced the Lone Peak keeper to make a great save at close range, while another cross ended up with the ball going just left again.

Lone Peak game report 5/6/09

Lehi continued its ball controll strategy in a 3-0 win over rival Lone Peak on May 6, 2009.

The half ended at a 0-0 tie despight Lehi's ball control that kept the play in front of the Lone Peak goal.

In the 46th minute of play, Ian Ramos passed a perfectly targeted pass to Austin Tucket for the first goal of the game.

Timpanogos Game Report 4/30/09

Timpanogo scored a goal in the first half. Ian Ramos assisted Zack Morgan to score in the 2nd half to tie the game 1-1. Ian Ramos scored with less than 2 minutes in double overtime. Lehi Varsity wins 2-1 and now has an idential region record with Timpanogos.

On the JV Ryan Holt and Ty Skousen scored to lead the JV team to a 2-1 win over the Timpanogos JV squad.

Lehi defeated AF 1-0.
Dillon Straw scored the only goal of the Varsity game. Riley Anderson logged the shutout.

Spanish Fork game report 4/22/09

Lehi's Boys' Varsity and JV were victorious today on Spanish Fork's home field. This strong Varsity effort included many JV players who got significant minutes of Varsity playing time today. This game marks the half way mark in the Region 4 schedule. The rest of the season involves replaying the these same league opponents again.
